World's Most Organized Man
Just got done reading a great article in Men's Health about Douglas Merrill, the CIO of Google. What is CIO? You'll have to read the article to find out. And what was so great about the article? It's an awesome thought starter as to how to compartmentalize and organize your mental life. Compartmentalization is something I've always been big on. It's the ability to focus on the most immediate, most important task and finish it successfully while hundreds of other things are going on. All great athletes and performers have the ability to compartmentalize; to perform at their very best while challenges of contracts/touring schedules/plane and bus rides/family problems and other mundane events pull others down.
You can read the article here, or better yet try to find an old Feb 2008 copy of Men's Health. And while your are at it, get a subscription. It's always a good read for men and women.
