Back from vacation...

and I should have a bunch of quickie updates once I get things sorted out (you know how that goes). Anyway, just before I headed out to Hawaii, I got a nice text from Brian Campbell. I had just sent him a text congratulating him on his spinner-rama goal against Montreal (one of the top 10, maybe 5 best goals in the league this year), and he replied, nearly verbatim:

I might be reading too much into it, but doesn't the "team treats you nice" line stand out a bit in regard to what he went through with the Sabres. Brian is too classy to say it was intended that way, but...

By the way since the trade, San Jose hasn't lost in 9 games. The Sabres...hanging on.
