ELO's OUT OF THE BLUE has been re-released in a special 30th Anniversary Edition.
After looking for this vintage double CD for about 2 years (it was out there on line, I just wanted to find in old school, in a store), I snapped it up the other day at Best Buy. Haven't seen it anywhere else, even though it has been out since February. It's only $11.99 and seems to be the real deal with some new liner notes (haven't listened to it yet, waiting for when I can go beginning to end without interruption). OUT OF THE BLUE is one of the brilliant concept albums of the 70's, if not all time. The type of masterwork that may never happen again given the current setup of the music business and it's focus away from concept albums (IE, not necessarily hit filled)
Hey...I've just done 2 posts in 10 days! Another Rob Lucas blog success story.
